“Thank you for serving!”

My oldest son, Joshua, has been serving with the U.S. Army for eight years. I’ve watched him mature into a man I respect. As my respect for him as a soldier has grown, my respect for all of our service men and women has grown exponentially. As the Registrar, I evaluate transcripts for new students including veterans and current service members. I know firsthand that any credit on those transcripts has been earned. When my brother-in-law left the military and enrolled at DCC, I was able to help him find the credit he’d earned through the military to apply to his degree here at DCC. Many veterans are unaware that military training may be worth college credit. It gives me great joy to help any veteran as they continue their educational experience at DCC. I’m ready to help them and want to be able to personally say to them, “Thank you for serving!”
