About the Role:
The Children’s Ministry Director helps Gateway Church glorify God by providing development, coordination, and oversight of all Children’s Ministry programs, activities, and events. The Children’s Ministry Director recruits, directs, develops, equips, and supports the leaders and workers who assist with the Children’s Ministry functions. The ministry team invests in, loves on, and participates in the spiritual growth and development of children from birth through the fifth grade.

Requirements:
Strong level of spiritual maturity
Demonstrated servant leadership abilities
Minimum of two years of experience in children’s ministry, preferably in a leadership role
Strong relational skills that will foster connections with ministry leaders and workers
Experience with curriculum and activity development, selection, and implementation
Experience in the identification and implementation of metrics to help determine ministry growth and development
Ability to communicate effectively with groups and individuals including, but not limited to, children, parents and guardians, volunteers, church staff, other ministry team leaders, and the congregation
Strong computer and organizational skills
Ability to protect sensitive and confidential information
Primary Responsibilities:
Cast the vision and set the goals for the Children’s Ministry, in accordance with the vision, mission, and strategy of Gateway Church
Develop relationships with children, parents, and teams in a way that reflects Christ’s likeness
Lead Program development for all age groups that facilitates learning and spiritual growth
Selection and preparation of curriculum for each age group
Identify, recruit, equip, train, and support ministry leaders and workers, including a strategy to develop replacements as the need arises
Plan, schedule, manage, and execute all Children’s Ministry special events
Assist in the development and administration of applicable budget items
Ensure necessary administrative support for the Children’s Ministry
Other Details:
This is a full-time (40 hours/week), salaried exempt position. Benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance, vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, and retirement plan contributions. The salary range is $37,000 to $45,000, depending on qualifications.
