North Texas Giving Day – Giving Begins September 1

Donations accepted September 1-17, 2020

Our God is bigger than we can imagine and our God is good!  How many times have we thought something was impossible, only to see it happen as we prayerfully watch in awe.  In these times we remember all things are possible with God.  We at DCC are praying for one of these big, God moments to happen. 

We have a big need at DCC – we need two Transit vans.  Each van is $55,000.00 so our total goal is $110,000.00 – Wow, that is for sure a God-sized goal!!

These vans are important to DCC’s ability to carry out our goal to educate and mentor students to be people of influence, engaging in their calling to the work of Christ in the Church and in the world.  They will allow us to transport our students to:

• Participate in community mission projects to grow understanding and empathy for others.
• Provide worship support for churches while mentoring students to grow in their Christian leadership.
• Participate in athletic events to support all DCC athletic programs.  These provide students with mentorship through our coaching staff and the ability to interact with other Christian student athletes.
• Implement programs, like SALTeens (Singing and Living Truth), that allow us to reach high school students to influence them and provide life changing experiences.

These two vans will allow us to replace older, high mileage vehicles.  They will also provide the space we need to transport our students using safe social distancing during these challenging times.

So, for North Texas Giving Day, please consider a gift to DCC.  Any amount will help.  We know God can take a small thing that we are able to do and make it miraculous.  Please spread the word to others, as we need lots of partners to meet our goal.

The North Texas Giving Day website opens September 1, 2020.  That means you may go online using the link below anytime from today through Thursday, September 17, 2020 to make your gift.  Your gift will be processed on the day it is made. 

On the morning of September 17th, we will host a Facebook Live event in our DCC gym to update you on progress towards our goal of $110,000.00.  This event will include students participating in our Fall Service Day, packaging over 10,000 meals for Children’s Hunger Fund.     We hope you will check in with us!
