South Seminole Baptist Church is seeking a Full-time Worship/Student Pastor to lead the Music Ministry and the Student Ministry (7th – 12th grade) of our church family. We are pursuing a pastoral leader with a heart of shepherding people to love Christ, know Him greater, and make much of His glory. South Seminole is in a revitalization phase of church health and growth.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTION
The Worship/Student Pastor is responsible to Christ and the Lead Pastor for leading and growing the congregation to make much of Christ’s glory.
WORKING RELATIONSHIP
The Worship/Student Pastor works under the leadership of the Lead Pastor and in cooperation with the pastoral/ministerial staff to establish continuity in all church ministries.
The Worship/Student Pastor is accountable to the Personnel Committee.
Give leadership to the work of the Worship and Student Ministry Teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Love the Lord and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Assist the Lead Pastor in planning, conducting, and evaluating of all corporate worship services of the congregation; including all technical production, video, media, lighting, and sound.
Provide leadership and coordinate all worship practices and performance.
Serve and lead the church to develop a music/creative arts ministry for the congregation; various age groups, soloists, choirs, instrumental groups, etc.
Serve and lead in the coordination of the student educational/discipleship ministries of the congregation; by coordinating, promoting, implementing, and evaluating Sunday School, discipleship, mission education, outreach events and fellowship activities.
Coordinate, in cooperation with the pastoral/ ministerial staff, the various worship and student ministry events to be placed on the Church calendar.
Assist the Lead Pastor in the pastoral-care ministry of the church family.
Assist the Lead Pastor in serving and leading the congregation in the evangelism, outreach, and mission ministries of the congregation.
Assist the Lead Pastor in the spiritual and administrative leadership of the congregation.
Accept other assignments as assigned by the Lead Pastor.
