Website Denton Bible Church--His Workmanship Ministry
General Purpose
To assist and support the Special Needs Ministry of Denton Bible Church by providing additional help to participants and volunteers through the collaboration of programming and ministry development. It is our desire that people affected by disabilities and their families come to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; to help enable them to “stretch beyond their limitations” and share their gifts to the church body through service, worship, and leadership. We believe people with disabilities should have the opportunity to learn and grow in their Christian faith through a loving, nurturing environment adapted to their special needs in accordance with the Statement of Faith, Bylaws, and Core Values of Denton Bible Church (DBC).
Essential Duties
- Share the responsibility of supervising and leading a RISE class on Sunday. Provide appropriate interactions, redirection of class participants, and consistent reinforcement to learning.
- Collaborate with other His Workmanship employees in the weekly preparation of curriculum and operation of a RISE class.
- Attend His Workmanship meetings for training, ministry planning, problem-solving, and gaining awareness of ministry-wide programming.
- Assist His Workmanship employees with the set-up and supervision of ministry events.
- Other duties as assigned
