One of the main methods the Student Government uses to be efficient with its time and effective with its actions is the use of committees. There is a handful of standing committees within Assembly, and from time to time, a special (ad hoc) committee is created for a specific, one time purpose. Below is listed the standing committees, their members, and the committee's responsibilites.

Small Event Planning Committee (SEPC)

Responsibilites: This committee is responsible for six small events per semester focusing on the spiritual, cultural, and academic welfare of students

Large Event Planning Committee (LEPC)

Responsibilities: This committee is responsible for two large events per semester focusing on a communal gathering of the students for purposes of fellowship.

Spiritual Formation Committee (SFC)

Responsibilities: This committee is responsible to maintain spiritual awareness on campus through programming, spiritual strengthening opportunities, events, and any other means that works towards this cause.

Financial Assistance Committee (FAC)

Responsibilities: This committee is responsible to provide, through the Organizational Assistance Fund (OAF, limited to RSOs) and Student Philanthropy Reserve (SPR), financial assistance for students and student organizations in need of assistance in the form of loans or grants.

Academic Affairs Committee (AAC)

Responsibilities: This committee is responsible to encourage campus events and programs that benefit and growth of the academic community through free exchange of ideas.

Publication Committee (PC)

Responsibilities: This is an executive committee and is responsible to publish The Crusader Torch newspaper, update the Student Government website, and any other publication that may benefit the campus community at the College.

Student Culture Interaction Committee (SCIC)

Responsibilities: This committee is responsible to seek to promote all forms of creativity and the arts on campus as well as seek methods and avenues to expose the student of this College to the culture of Dallas, Texas, the United States and other cultures around the world.

Ecological Awareness Committee (EAC)

Responsibilities: This committee is responsible to promote awareness concerning environmentally safe and substantive alternatives to the status quo of operations of this College and its organization as well push for the recycling of materials used by this College.

Election Committee (EC)

Responsibilities: This committee is responsible for the general election of the Student Government in April as well as the freshman election in the fourth week after classes begin as well as any sort of polling throughout the year.
