Financing Your Education

Act Now! For your Financial Aid award priority processing deadline of October 1st , Below are your next steps for completing:

1. Complete the FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID (FAFSA) online at www.FAFSA.ed.gov for the new upcoming Spr ing 2015 ter m. Follow instr uctions car efully. If eligible utilize the IRS data retrieval tool to access you and your parent’s 2013 tax transcript, if applicable. Be sure to include DCC’s TITLE IV SCHOOL CODE, 006941. You and your parents, if applicable will need your FAFSA pin to sign the application electronically. Students may utilize the computer in the financial aid office, library or access the web from a personal computer.

2. Complete the Spring 2015 Financial Aid Interview with the Virtual Financial Aid Office (VFAO) at https://dallas.vfao.com. Make sure to answer all of the questions carefully and correctly. Include the dates of enrollment for the spring term as 12/12/14-5/14/15. Note check your DCC portal for an award letter. If you have awards pending for the Spring 2015 term, you are not required to re-apply.

3. Reminder, the priority deadline to complete your FAFSA, VFAO interview and any additional verification items, is October 1st for the Spring 2015 term. By meeting this deadline, DCC will provide you with your potential financial aid funding within 10 days of all items submitted. This will allow you and your parents, if applicable to be prepared early in securing financial aid and private funding for the Spring 2015 term.

Dallas Christian College is committed to helping students from all financial backgrounds achieve their dreams of gaining a quality education. The primary use of financial aid is to assist students who, without such aid, would be unable to attend DCC. Financial aid may include scholarships, grants, participation awards, loans, and part-time employment, any of which may be awarded singly or in various combinations but the total of which does not exceed the cost of education.

The Financial Aid Office is there to assist you in determining the best sources of aid for your particular situation. If you have any questions, problems, or need additional information, please contact the Financial Aid Office.

All new and continuing students must establish financial need annually in order to receive financial aid.

Scholarships Federal Programs Tuition Costs

DCC offers many scholarships, grants, and participation awards to aid with the cost of tuition.

To qualify for any of the federal programs, the student must demonstrate financial need by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). All new and returning students must establish financial need annually in order to receive financial aid. The total expense of an education at DCC includes tuition, room and board (housing and a meal plan), books, and miscellaneous fees or expenses. All first-year traditional students not living at home are required to live on campus and have a meal plan.
