Soccer Highlights: Coach Alex Schindler Lives in Waxahachie, Texas and has lived in the Dallas area since 1986. Currently: Coach Schindler is the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Dallas Christian College and holds both a USSF “A” License, USSF “B” License, USSF National Goalkeeping Coach License and FA International License from Ireland. Coach Schindler has coached youth and adult soccer for over 25 years. He has been involved with Olympic Development Program (ODP) for over 12 years as a US Regional Coach, North Texas State Soccer Association (NTSSA) Head State Team Staff Coach and NTSSA State Staff Instructor.
In addition, Coach Schindler is the Founder of Zen sports Group and Panda Cup Foundation. Panda Cup is one of the most unique soccer events in the world. It is one of the only tournaments in the world that brings together under one umbrella soccer athletes of all ages, elite teams, special needs athletes along with community programs that work to build friendships and bridge cultures through the game of soccer, along with our ongoing events with Scottish Rite Hospital, Homeless Soccer Program, and Special Olympics.
Coach Schindler was one of the first American born players to play professional soccer outside the United States. He played for Club Sportivo San Lorenzo 1982-1985 in Paraguay, South America and for the Chicago Shoccers Professional Indoor Soccer Team 1987.
Academic Education: Coach Schindler has earned a Masters of Liberal Arts from Southern Methodist University (SMU), an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Dispute Resolution and Negotiation from (SMU), a Master Certificate in Applied Project Management from Villanova University, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Administration from University of Texas at Dallas.
Additional Experience & Education: Coach Schindler has a network of Professional, University and Youth contacts that span over five continents. He has lived in over 20 countries around the world and has many wonderful friends throughout. He is fluent in English & Spanish. He also holds a Single and Multi-Engine Instrument Commercial Pilot’s license.
Coach Schindler has been very blessed to have so many wonderful and diverse teachers of the game be a part of his life. His philosophy is that the player comes first in all aspects of development. A player must be well rounded and be built on the foundation principals of soccer fundamental mastery, excellent health, team spirit, character, honesty, respect and hard work ethic. He was “Born Again” at age 15 and baptized at 16 as testament to follow Christ our Lord. He is so very grateful that God has forgiven him, has loved him unconditionally, and given him another chance in Life.
