
Coach Martinez grew up in the Dallas area and began playing soccer at the age of four for the Oak Cliff Soccer Association. She played at the recreational level until the age of ten where her team won the tournament of champions. She began playing competitive soccer at the age of eleven with the Pirates Futbol Club. They competed in the Division 1 Lake Highland Classic League. Coach Martinez also played with the Olympic Development Program where she traveled to Oklahoma to train and play. She also had the opportunity to play in Monterrey, Mexico for one summer.
Coach Martinez played varsity soccer for Duncanville High School as a center midfielder. She earned the rising star scholarship and went on to play at Cedar Valley College for two years. She was the leading goal scorer for her team. She then decided to move to Denver, CO where she asked Christ into her life. Coach Martinez is married with four children ages ten, seven, four, and one. She and her husband are very involved in youth ministry. She enjoys watching her two older children play soccer for a local club in the Park Cities area.
Coach Martinez coached in the Colorado area for about six years before she and her family decided to move back to the great state of Texas a little over a year ago. She is currently a skills trainer in the North Dallas area and assistant director of CR soccer camps.
Coach Martinez and her family attend Valley View Christian Church and though she has an infectious passion for the game of soccer, she has an even greater love for the Lord Jesus Christ. She is blessed to be a part of the all around growth of her players. She feels privileged to coach at Dallas Christian College. Coach Martinez is extremely excited about what God is going to do with the team both on and off the field this year!
