Men’s Soccer Win Again

Men’s Soccer Beat Southwestern Adventist University 3-2

Your Crusader Men’s Soccer Team came out with their second win of the season by beating Southwestern Adventist University on their home turf 3-2 Tuesday night! Gerson Machado scored in the third minute with a brilliant shot from 40 yards out to take the early lead. Several defensive miscues allowed SWAU to score two goals before the half. With the Crusaders outplaying SWAU yet down 1-2, Coach Rogers and Coach Uyokpeyi addressed the team at half time and made some adjustments. Your Crusaders came out strong in the second half. Sam “Samba” Stewart evened the score by beating their Keeper and placing a perfect shot. Not 10 minutes later, Samba scored the game winner. Paul Luckey headed a corner kick back into the area and Samba made the finish!

There are many new players this year and the Team is starting to come together as a unit. Mark your calender and be sure to come out on Friday 9/13 @5:30. Your Crusaders play their first Conference Match against Barclay College at Home!
