DCC Crusaders hang on against Manhattan Christian College, 4-2

Manhattan Christian College wasn’t able to overcome the big hole it dug itself into against DCC Crusaders, and Manhattan Christian College lost 4-2 to DCC Crusaders after falling behind by three runs in the sixth inning.

Manhattan Christian College scored two runs in the sixth on an error and a groundout by Johnson. Despite its efforts, Manhattan Christian College couldn’t finish the comeback.

Caleb Gibson was hot from the plate for DCC Crusaders. Gibson went 3-4 and scored one run. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth and sixth innings.

Kyle Spurgin worked out of six tricky spots for DCC Crusaders. He pitched six innings and allowed one earned run on seven hits. Spurgin faced his most difficult moment in the sixth inning.

DCC Crusaders went up for good in the first, scoring one run on an RBI single by Jonathan Perea.

DCC Crusaders scored one run in the sixth inning, and then followed it up with one more in the seventh. In the sixth, DCC Crusaders scored on an error, plating Taylor Peddicord.
