DCC Crusaders offense too much for SAGU in 16-0 rout





DCC Crusaders continued to pile up the runs on Tuesday, scoring three runs in the last three innings, en route to an easy 16-0 win over SAGU at Reverchon.

DCC Crusaders scored five runs in the sixth on a solo home run by Zachary Diaz, an RBI single by Taylor Peddicord, a groundout by Samuel Stampley, an RBI single by Kale McQuillen, and a sacrifice fly by Jonathan Perea.

Peddicord racked up three RBIs on three hits for DCC Crusaders.

Bryce Jones kept SAGU off the board during his six innings of work. Jones struck out four and allowed no walks and four hits.

DCC Crusaders didn’t relinquish the lead after scoring one run in the first inning when it scored on an error.

DCC Crusaders pushed across two runs in both the second inning and the third. In the second, DCC Crusaders scored on an RBI single by Justin Browning, plating Peddicord.

DCC Crusaders scored three runs in the fifth inning, and then followed it up with three more in the seventh. In the fifth, DCC Crusaders scored on a two-run single by Dustin Tarpley, bringing home Stampley and Nick Tovar.
