Assistant Coach Kyle Spurgin

Coach Spurgin played baseball for DeSoto High School, where he helped his school break a 15-yeardrought of missing the playoffs. They not only broke the playoff drought but also went to the playoffsthree consecutive seasons, a record which hadn’t been done in over 20 years. After high school season,he had an offer to play baseball in Kansas but didn’t want to be far from home or his high-schoolsweetheart Adrianna Walton-Rogers. After much prayer, he declined the offer and entered the DallasAmateur Baseball Association with the hopes of finding a school. During that summer he threw a no-hitter against the DCC summer team and won by a score of 1-0. That night he was offered a letter ofintent, and taking it as a sign from above, he signed the letter immediately.

He enrolled at DCC in the fall of 2011 and pitched as a starter all four years. He holds three schoolrecords: 302 Career Innings Pitched, 2.92 Career E.R.A, and 28 Career Wins. He was part of a regionalchampionship and two World Series berths, where in 2012, DCC placed 2nd in the nation. His mostmemorable moment was his last game at home for DCC, probably the best game of his career: he wasone strike call shy of a no-hitter against NAIA powerhouse Texas Wesleyan. DCC won the game 1-0. Hewas very grateful that God essentially started his college career the same way he ended it at DCC, with anear no-hitter.

After his last collegiate season, Coach Dixon asked Kyle to be an assistant coach while he finished hiseducation degree at DCC. Kyle graduated in May 2016, when he married Adrianna, also a 2016 graduateand the class’s valedictorian.  Kyle now is the full-time assistant coach of the baseball team. He alsocoaches with the Texas Desperados during the summer and still plays baseball in the amateur leagueDMABL. On top of that, he is using his education degree to substitute teach at DeSoto ISD and CFB ISD.

TitanTitan Chijioke Head Women’s Basketball Coach

Titan Chijioke lives in Carrollton Texas and is married to Lawrence Chijioke and they have a beautiful daughter. Titan was raised in Nigeria and came to the United States on a basketball scholarship. She played at Albany State University and at Dallas Christian College where she was the team captain. She averaged about 13 points and 14 rebounds. She also was ranked number one in rebounds and in block shots and was ranked number three in points during her season. She was named an Academic All- American, Scholar athlete, All-American, and was named 1st Team Southwest Region. She also was called to the Nigerian national team in preparation for the Olympics when she was in college and actually was one of the youngest in the Nigerian national team camp before coming to the States. She has been an assistant coach at Dallas Christian College for the past two years. She was offered the opportunity to play professional basketball in Spain but declined due to the fact that she wanted to earn a college degree at that time.

Titan has worked with Life Time fitness as a basketball coach and youth development personnel and she has also worked with the prominent Ejike Ugboaja Foundation as an International/Athletic director for several years. It is a true blessing to work with an NBA star in the person of Ejike Ugboaja who was drafted for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Titan helps in grassroots development and sports and she loves the game of basketball and has played it almost all her life.

She holds a BSc in Business Administration from Dallas Christian college and graduated Magna cum laude and was given the Lucille Perkins award and was also awarded the Salutatorian award. She also has an MBA from Dallas Baptist University and another certification in Information Systems (MISM) from the same Dallas Baptist University where she had a GPA of about 3.70. She is currently on her PHD journey in her quest for a doctorate degree. Titan also teaches at Dallas Christian College as an adjunct professor. She inspires athletes to do good academically as they will need that in future. At some point she worked with the City of Carrollton and helped in projects that had to do with tournaments, recognition awards and events for a few years.

Her love of God is unquantifiable and that is the foundation of everything she does. Love should be paramount in the mind of her team and in the hearts of the student’s that she teaches, coaches and mentors. She has a great desire to raise up athletic warriors for Christ through sports. Coach Titan loves the Holy Spirit and always says that “He is her best friend”. Her motto has always been “I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me.”

If you need to contact Titan Chijioke you can email her at or call her at 469-268-5633
