The Education Department of Dallas Christian College prepares students for teaching in elementary or secondary schools. DCC offers a Bachelor of Science in Education and Bible with three tracks to choose from: Elementary (Early Childhood-6 Grade), Secondary (7-12 Grades), or Music (Early Childhood-12 Grades). Students choosing the Elementary or Secondary tracks choose a Content area in either English or history. Students must apply to the Education Department for admittance to the DCC education program by October 1 of the sophomore year for committee approval. All students, once accepted into the program, must make an appointment with Education personnel early during their sophomore year for coursework advising.
The B.S. in Education and Bible includes 30 credit hours of Bible and theology courses (12 hours included in General Education), 51 credit hours of General Education, 30 credit hours in the Education Major, and 24 (or more) credit hours in the Track and Content Areas.
