General Information
Newland Hall houses primarily single men under the age of 21. A full-time
Hall Director resides in the building and provides leadership to the hall
students. The men’s dorm also has upper classmen serving as small
group leaders/mentors, especially leading in spiritual development. Three
resident assistants are also available to provide informational services
to the residents.
Room and Lobby Areas:
- This is a male-only residence hall. Females are welcome in the downstairs
lounge area but are not allowed in the hall rooms.
- Each room has 2 twin beds, 2 separate closet spaces, a sink and vanity.
- Each room has a built-in desk and drawers. Shelves are also built
in. Some rooms have moveable loft-style furniture.
- The Newland Hall lobbies have a TV, DVD and VCR player, with Satellite
provided. The downstairs lobby has a game area.
- Two rooms share a private bathroom.
- All walls are painted white. Residents may not paint the walls.
- Mini-blinds are on all windows and must remain in place.
