Class Login
Online courses as well as some on-site courses at Dallas Christian College
require a student to set up an account on the course management system called
Moodle. Moodle is where online students obtain syllabus information, download
resources, submit assignments, and take quizzes. Students will only need
to set up an account one time. The account is only removed from the system
if the student has not used it for over 180 days. Video demonstration
This Flash video will you through the steps to set up an account on Moodle.
If you have a dial-up connection, this Flash* demonstration will take
a few minutes to load. There are VCR-like controls at the bottom of the
display that you can use to pause, rewind, or replay the video demonstration.

How to Set up an Account on Moodle
- Login: To log on to the course site go to http://online.dallas.edu
(Offsite). Save this site as a "Favorite" or "Bookmark."
Click the "Create new account" link and set up your user profile
with your own username and password. You choose your username and password.
- After you create an account, you will receive an email with a link
to follow to confirm your account. That email will come to whatever
email you put in your user profile. If you don't get that email, check
your "spam" or "junk mail" folder to see if the
email was filtered. If you still cannot find the email, please contact
Moodle Support at moodlesupport@dallas.edu.
Please include your name and your class in your email.
- Getting into your class: After you login, you will
see a list of courses. Click on your course.
- The first time you click on your course, you will be asked for an
"enrollment key." You must enter the enrollment key exactly
to get into your class site. The enrollment key for an online class
will come to you in an email announcing that the class site is open.
In an on-site class, the instructor will distribute the enrollment key.
- Start by reading the help files and "Requirements and Grading."
- If you forget your password, just click "Forgot Password"
(located under the username and password fields), and Moodle will send
you a new one.
