The Online program at DCC offers the Bachelor of Science degree with majors in Business and Practical Ministries. The Business degree offers two tracks to choose from, Business Administration and Ethics or Nonprofit Management. The Practical Ministries degree offers a track in Ministry Leadership.
B.S. in Practical Ministries (PDF)
This Bachelor of Science degree is designed to give people the biblical foundation, leadership skills, and ministry expertise to lead a church or para-church organization. The spiritual disciplines, Christian service, and mentoring that are built into the program are designed to help a student become a person of influence under God's influence.
Each course is six weeks long. The Bachelor of Science curriculum has 30 hours of open electives. This provides room for many of your previous credits to transfer towards your degree.
B.S. in Business (PDF)

Additionally, this program prepares graduates with the ethical and biblical foundation to make decisions that honor Christ. Application Requirements for Online Students
A complete admissions application consists of the following items:
- A fully completed DCC Application for Admission.
- A non-refundable $25 application fee.
- A 250-500 word essay that addresses two points:
- Describe your academic and spiritual goals and how you believe DCC can help
you achieve them.
- Tell why you believe the Quest or Online program fits your current life situation.
- Official college transcript(s) from each institution attended or enrolled, with a stamp
and administrator's signature, which must arrive in a sealed envelope bearing the
school's logo.
- If no previous college coursework, an official high school transcript with a stamp and
administrator's signature, which must arrive in a sealed envelope bearing the
school's logo.
- Military transcript (if applicable).
- One letter of recommendation from a church pastor or leader.
There are several options for financing your education. The Financial Aid
Office will work with you to determine your eligibility for scholarships,
grants, loans, and work-study programs.

What credits will transfer to DCC? View Answer
You can transfer a number of credits from other accredited colleges to the DCC Online program. You must have received at least a "C" in the class in order to transfer it. Check with your academic advisor to find out more about transferring hours.

What credits will transfer from DCC to other colleges? View Answer
Other colleges will have a standard that they use to accept credits much like DCC, a grade of "C" and above. Usually, if the college a student transfers credits to is not a Christian college, Biblical classes do not transfer or will transfer at the least as electives. DCC has had many students transfer in and out of Texas with no issues on credits being accepted. However, if you have a question contact the college you are interested in and ask.

How are the classes conducted? View Answer
DCC Online classes are conducted through an Internet-based platform called Moodle, which can be found at
http://online.dallas.edu. The days and times that you take DCC Online classes are entirely up to you as long as you sign on several times a week and post comments three times per week to meet participation requirements. You are not required to be online at the same time with the whole class. You can log on at any time of the day or night; it's entirely up to you. This allows you to fit school into your busy schedule, rather than attempting to fit your schedule around school. Nothing could be more convenient.

What computer skills and equipment are required? View Answer
- (Skills) You must be able to:
- Use Microsoft Word to create and format documents
- Use Microsoft PowerPoint at a beginning level
- Navigate and search the Internet
- Download and open files
- Download and install software
- A Windows or Macintosh computer system with minimum 1 Ghz processor and 1 GB memory (2 GB for Windows 7 & Vista). Any computer purchased new in the last 3 years probably meets these requirements.
- Operating Systems: Windows Vista, 7, or 8; Mac OS 10.5
- Students need to have Microsoft Office 2003/2007/2010. It is possible to use an alternative to Microsoft Office,
but all assignments must be submitted in Office format: e.g. .doc or .ppt. Students must also be able to open Office
files and read the comments inserted by instructors. OpenOffice provides a free alternative for Word and PowerPoint and meets these requirements.
- Students purchase Logos Bible Study software as a resource for "How to Study the Bible." It is part of the required resources, so it can be purchased with financial aid funds if necessary. It is available for Windows and Macintosh.
- (Equipment) Internet conferencing equipment with high-speed Internet connection is required:
- Good quality webcam* with a microphone built in and a set of headphones/earbuds

How long does it take to finish the degree program? View Answer
Some students can complete their online college education in as little as two years. It depends on two things personal to each student.
- How many previous college credits can transfer to your chosen degree program? The registrar examines your official college transcripts (as well as military DD214) to create a transcript evaluation. This shows you what classes you need to complete your degree.
- How much time do you have to dedicate each week to taking classes? Students spend 10-15 hrs. per week completing each online course. If you can take two courses simultaneously, you can complete your degree more quickly.
