|For the past 10 years it has been my privilege to serve as the President of Dallas Christian College. To watch the Board, Faculty, Staff, and Students all focused around a common mission in a spirit of unity has been a once-in-a-lifetime experience. So, it is with mixed emotions that I announce my upcoming departure.
On December 12th, I was named the new President & CEO of the Church Development Fund (CDF) in Irvine, California. CDF is a 60 year old, $600 million lending institution serving the 6,000+ congregations of the independent Christian Churches.
The DCC Board and I have agreed on a plan for me to work in a dual role at the College through the end of the spring semester, while gradually picking up the reigns of CDF beginning in January. DCC will launch its Presidential search in a few weeks.
DCC has given far more to me than I could ever repay. Through four years as a student in the 1980’s and the last decade as her president, I have been stretched and loved in ways I could have never imagined. Through this time together, our team has achieved some significant goals in shaping a Christian College for the 21st century.
And you, our alumni, friends and supporters, have been an encouragement each step along the way. Every time I think of you I am thankful for your support.
I plan to be an ambassador of DCC for the rest of my days. Please join me in long-term support of DCC and the President who will lead her in this next season. May God bless Dallas Christian College.
In His Service,
Dustin D. Rubeck
