Cheer on the Flag Football Team During 'Sader Bowl 2007

October 15, 2007- DCC Flag Football's 2007 Championship game will take place Thursday October 25 at 5:45 p.m.

The Dallas Christian College Flag Football League(DCCFFL) is a completely student-led sport.

The league plays it's regular season and playoffs from August to October.

"The last Thursday in October is the equivalent to the NFL's first Sunday in February, Super Bowl Sunday. On 'Sader Bowl Thursday, only two teams are left for the chance of being declared season champions," Commissioner Ismael Arteaga said.

The event is complete with a full cookout. Staff and students are asked to come out and cheer their peers during the championship game.

"We are simply inviting people to cheer their friends on in the championship game while they have dinner," Arteaga said. "[It] will mean so much to the individual players on the field, to be cheered on just like our Soccer teams are cheered on for their games."

The DCCFFL is not new to campus, but the league is now an official DCC intramural sport and has been successful with on-campus students.

"Flag football has been a huge part of the on-campus community," Eric Hinton, Residence Hall Director and All-Star 2007 inductee said. "The league has been a big hit with students."

The All-Star game will take place on campus this Thursday, October 18th.
