Dear Students,

As winter is setting in and the end of the Fall Semester is upon us, I wanted to take this time to accomplish two things. First and foremost, thank you, for being a student at Dallas Christian College. You, the students, are the reason DCC has and continues to make an impact on the Kingdom.  It’s exciting to think about what each of you will do and what lives you’ll impact once you graduate from DCC.

The second thing I’d like to do through this letter is to make an announcement.  Through the recommendation of the President’s Cabinet and approval from the Dallas Christian College Board of Trustees, we’ve made the decision to freeze all tuition and room/board costs for the 2018-2019 academic year. This means that when you return to DCC in the Fall of 2018, your costs will not increase.

For over 10 years, the cost of tuition and room/board have gradually increased each year at DCC, putting more stress on you, the students, to “make ends meet”.  Across the nation at many other colleges and universities, tuition and room/board costs continue to increase.  In fact, the average cost to attend a four-year private higher education institution in the United States is just above $40,000 per year.  DCC’s leadership does not believe this is a good trend, and in an effort to make college more affordable to our students, has consciously made the decision to keep our costs at their current rate.  Over the next 18 months, we will continue evaluating our cost structure, always keeping the student in mind.

I truly hope you’ve enjoyed your Fall Semester at DCC.  I’m excited about the direction that we are headed as an authentic and intentional Christian college, and look forward to having you be a part of the DCC family as we continue into next semester. Merry Christmas!

Sincerely,

Dr. Brian D. Smith

President
