Coach
Hamilton is in her fifth year as the Head Volleyball Coach at Dallas Christian
College. Coach Hamilton has accepted the challenge of building a strong
women’s collegiate volleyball program while investing in the lives
of young women and guiding their development both physically and spiritually.
Coach Hamilton comes to DCC with experience as both a player and coach.
She is a 1984 Junior Olympic Team Gold Medallist. She began her collegiate
career at NCAA Div. I Northern Illinois University where she played on
scholarship. Coach Hamilton traveled for one year with the Div. I Athletes
in Action volleyball team and then transferred to Westmont College in
Santa Barbara, California where she won numerous awards and honors and
was the schools first ever All-American women’s volleyball player.
After graduation Coach Hamilton joined the WPVA (Women’s Professional
Volleyball Association) competing in doubles sand volleyball and is currently
ranked nationally on the circuit.
Coach Hamilton has developed and coached multiple club volleyball teams
in the metroplex. She has also developed and coached the boy’s and
girl’s volleyball program at Episcopal School of Dallas and has
also served as the head volleyball coach at Richland Community College
in the Dallas area.
