Moncrief to Head Women's Basketball Team

The 2008-09 Lady Crusader Basketball Team is under the direction of new head coach, Doyle Moncrief. He has taken over the task of rebuilding the women’s basketball program while playing the toughest schedule that has been composed in the program’s history.

The women have responded well to the new challenges that he has put before them and they are beginning to grasp the concept of his system. With the majority of larger competition behind them the team looks forward to focusing on conference and region opponents.

Coach Moncrief commented, “We are progressing at the proper rate preparing for conference play. As we approach the Southwest Regional Tournament we are looking forward to a positive finish at the end of the season.”
