Joe Griffin

Position: Athletic Director & Men's Basketball and Golf Head Coach

Alma Mater: Georgia State University, Atlanta, GA

Joe Griffin begins his first year with DCC as the college's Athletic Director and Men's Basketball Head Coach. Griffin comes from Atlanta, GA, where he worked as the Athletic Director at Atlanta Christian College.

While at ACC, Coach Griffin focused not only on broadening the athletic program by adding golf, track and field, and women’s soccer but he also focused on the opportunity to organize athletic international mission trips to broaden students physically and spiritually.

He has a great reputation in the NCCAA as a coach and Athletic Director. He has a Master’s degree in education, has coached Men’s Basketball, Women’s Volleyball and Basketball, Soccer, and Golf. Many of these teams he led to the NCCAA National Division Tournaments. He and his wife Carla have three children, Chris - 15, David - 12, and Risa - 5.
