Crusaders Achieve First Win of the Season

January 5, 2009

On December 15, the Men’s Basketball Team, under the direction of Coach Charles Williams, had an exciting victory over Central Bible College. With a final score of 82-74 DCC won their first conference game of the semester. The crowd definitely had something to cheer about with some amazing three point shots made by Christian Lawyer, Phillip Ward, and Miles Burnside. Having the lead the whole game the Crusaders played some excellent defense, especially by our Point Guard, Roderick Johnson.

Women's Basketball Team Presses On

Men's and Women's Basketball Teams Faced WBU, LCU, and SAGU

The men’s and women’s basketball teams played very hard this past week with three games each. They played their first official games in Plainview, TX against Wayland Baptist University on Nov. 3rd which, unfortunately, they lost.

Despite the hard losses the team has faced this season Coach Moncrief and the women's basketball team kept up their hard work with their heads held high and there spirits hopeful when they played at home against Central Bible College and away against the NAIA Division I Texas Wesleyan Rams. This week they continue their season as they play at the Cookson Hills Classic in Kansas, OK. Go Crusaders!
