Baseball Team to Hold Tryouts for Upcoming 2011 Season, May 22

DCC is looking for new athletes that want to be a part of the baseball team. New and current DCC students are welcome to tryout on Saturday, May 22, 2010.

Tryouts will be held at the McInnish Park in Carrollton, TX starting at 12:00 p.m.

Game summaries for the weeks of 3/22 and 3/29

On Tuesday 3/23 the Crusaders played Texas College in Tyler, Texas. We were bringing a three game winning streak, having won the 2nd game of the DH with Southwest Assembly of God and sweeping a DH against Ozark Christian College.
 
The Crusaders pulled out their fourth straight win with a 12-6 Victory. Ruben Salinas pitched 5 quality innings with  Hunter wood closing out the final 2 innings in stellar relief.  Grant Henry had four hits including a 2 run HR in the first inning.  Zac Diaz added 3 hits to the offense.
 
The second game end in a 6-4 loss as our defense made a number of Miscues.  Grant Henry pitched very wel in the loss.
 
On Thursday, 3/25/2010 we played Northwood NAIA Universtiy for 6 innings and were tied 6-6 into the 7th when they broke the game open and took a 15-6 loss.  Trevor Lynn, Tyler Hubbered, Grant Henry and Jon Perea led the offense.  Zac Diaz gt his 1st start and pitched an extremely well for 5 innings.
 
In the Friday DH we continued to hit well in each game, but could not contain Northwoods offense.  The 1st game was a 20-4 loss.  In the 2nd game Logen Matson pitched well for several innings but we could not hold the down and ended with 16-6 loss.
